He quit his corporate role and tripled his income pressure washing
Sam Silverman
Good morning, Freedom Seekers,
At Freedom Framework, we love seeing people break free, play by their own rules, and build something truly their own.
I wanted to share two stories that have inspired me and reinforced our mission to help people escape the corporate world. Today, let’s talk about Nick. Tomorrow, I’ll share the story of an 18-year-old who dodged college to forge his own path.
Nick was my first sales hire in my last corporate role—fresh out of college and extremely ambitious. Within two years, he became the top performer in his division, going from a wide-eyed new grad to earning $250K+ in just 18 months.
Most people would be thrilled with that trajectory. And he was… until he wasn’t.
Like many in corporate, he hit a wall.
More work. More responsibility. Less pay—nearly 50% less. Quotas changed. Territories shrank. Leadership shifted. The usual story.
Nick had been active in Freedom Framework, and the itch to go all-in on himself kept growing. He already had a side business—pressure washing—something he started in college with his brother, pulling in about $10K/month at 50% margins.
Now, let’s be real—pressure washing isn’t exactly glamorous. But running a business that prints cash and gives you control over your time? That is.
When we spoke a little over a month ago, he was at a crossroads: double down on corporate or bet on himself. The reality? He was ready to leave anyway. His worst-case scenario? Getting another job—something he would’ve done regardless.
So, on January 1st, he quit.
What happened next?
💥 In January, his pressure washing business hit its highest month ever—$38K.
💥 He added another truck to the fleet, which will push revenue past $65K/month.
💥 He’s now on track for $780K in annual revenue, with 50% margins—$390K net.
And the best part? He’s already mapping out how to scale further: more trucks, more commercial contracts, and—within a year—hiring himself out of the business.
Even if the business stopped growing today, he could hire an operator for ~$100K and still clear nearly $300K/year—as the owner, not the employee.
Congrats to Nick on taking the leap, more than tripling his income, and building his life by design.
Stay tuned for Nick’s episode on The Freedom Framework Show later this month
